About
The Michiana Male Chorus is a group of men who enjoy singing, providing an opportunity to gather for rehearsals and performances. The Chorus is a great source of fellowship and enjoyment.
John Fitzhenry organized the Michiana Male Chorus in 1985 through the combination of the remnants of the South Bend Elks Men’s Chorus, the Studebaker Male Chorus and the Bendix Male Chorus from Indiana and also the Blue Notes from Tyler Refrigeration in Michigan. Our present Music Director is Ms. Anne Tschetter and our accompanist is Ms. Miriam Houck.
Membership in the Michiana Male Chorus is open to men, 18 and older, who like to sing. The chorus performs for various churches, hospitals, nursing homes, and professional and civic organizations. In addition, we perform Christmas and Spring concerts that are open to the general public. We sing a wide variety of music, including patriotic, sacred, folk, spiritual, pop and show tunes.
The Michiana Male Chorus is a member of the Great Lakes Male Chorus Association, which includes choruses from Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.
The Michiana Male Chorus is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization and welcomes your donations.
